Rocketboom feedback mixed but over all positive.

RocketboomThe Rocketboom feedback on the blogosphere was mixed in parts but overall the response including the Kiwibloke’s is positive.

The consensus seems to be that people either liked Joanne’s new approach and her news reader type skill, or are firmly in the Amanda Congdon side of the fence.

The Kiwibloke likes Joanne a lot. She is not Amanda but brings her own polished approach to the show. Today’s paper clip story was well told and the idea was original. Let’s face it only a cute blonde female presenter can walk up to bikies and get them to hand over cigarette cases for a jacket.

Well to cut the story short, I watch the new episode today and really found it entertaining. I hope that the RB team will be able to produce a unique and creative 2.0 series, and I hope the RB audience will continue to grow. Why? Because the show is really remarkable and innovating. How cool is it that people can produce a daily show on basically no budget and attract an audience of 300,000 people. The jury is still up in the air put I’m pulling for you Rocketboom!

So, Rocketboom is finally back featuring Joanne Colan. So what’s my take on the Rocketboom 2.0? It’s pretty good. First off, Colan is attractive and the English accent doesn’t hurt.

I liked the concept – it overlapped a bit with what i read, but i didnt watch it just for the pretty face. I hope Amanda and Drew both move on to new and exciting things. Its been fun but im moving on now.

But now RB has replaced Amanda with someone definitely not as hot. That is why RocketBoom is dead to me. If I’m going to watch a video about what got posted on BoingBoing yesterday, it better be done by Amanda.

The Inexcusible

Rocketboom is back, with someone British named Joanne (who looks like Amanda– and is that a ‘stache?). I’m still not impressed– I’d rather watch Ze anyway.

This fresh approach means that although the Kiwi bloke thinks that Amanda is a great actor and her content was fresh and inspiring (see Kate Winkle), Joanne too adds a feel to the show that is hard to beat. The Kiwibloke predicts that Andrew pulled one out of the hat on the weekend, and that is the skill of a good producer.
