To be fair, I know what you are referring too, but it was a very rare event. Nowhere is 100% safe, not even New Zealand.

When I came to NZ I couldnt believe how many dangerous sports I could get involved in – brilliant! but other than the crazy sports I think they are right its a really safe place to travel

i have to agree some of the stuff you kiwis do is mad, the jet boats for example is the most stupid thing i think ive ever seen, but i still want to have a go in one
