Aussie Claim Kiwi Victory

Aussie daily The Sydney Morning Herald this morning claimed victory on behalf of the All Whites draw over Slovakia. The Aussies were miffed that New Zealand was able to extract a draw from Slovakia after their own 4-0 defeat at the hands of Germany.
The sibling rivalry has not faded since the 2-1 Aussie victory over New Zealand in Melbourne last month. This win was clouded by foul play by the Aussies that went un-penalized.
Perhaps we should un-invite Kevin Rudd if he is going to claim Parliament as his own.

Haha – this kind of thing has happened time and time again over history! Look at The Crowded House (NZ band claimed by Australia), Russell Crow (NZ actor claimed by Australia) – the list goes ona nd on. Im sure they were probably happy for us and also sad about their humiliating defeat!

LOL, that was hilarious! Anyhow, not sure if I missed the latest post on the All Whites, but how about that game versus Italy? What a great game…should have gotten a win were it not for Italy’s constant flopping that drew the PK. At this stage in the Cup it’s pretty clear All Whites >>> Socceroos!
The Kiwis won that game… Italy did not dominate..
Although I can’t see any sense in this victory – my congrats….

Congratulations kiwis! I’ve been watching the world cup very closely here in the USA, we just got bailed out by Ghana but the general consensus was that we did ok – not good, not bad, just ok. I saw the kiwi’s in the news – you really did better than expectations in this part of the world.
