I Hate Luv Storys – a romantic comedy starring Indian heart-throbs Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor – has been ranked India’s 12th best net grossing movie of all time on opening day. The movie, which premiered in India on Friday 2 July 2010, saw big city movie theatres filling to the brim. The film is also proving to be a big hit outside of India. Internationally, it has provided the biggest opening day ever for filmstar Imran Kahn.
Here in an interview with Imran and Sonam (Hindi):
Here is the Trailer:
The film tells the story of two Bollywood actors who fly to Queenstown, in New Zealand’s South Island, to shoot a film and end up falling in love. Director Punit Malhotra – who came New Zealand looking for “picture postcard locations” – also fell in love with Queenstown. “As a film maker in Queenstown you don’t have to hunt for good locations. The place itself is one giant exquisite locale,” Malhotra told H T Cafe magazine.
“We were looking for landscapes that resembled Switzerland in Hindi films from the nineties. I came across Queenstown in New Zealand … the place turned out to be perfect. We got an opportunity to shoot around Glenorchy the location for ‘Lord of the Rings’.” “It’s a little far from India but the journey is totally worth it.” he added.

I do watch Bollywood movies regularly. This couple (Imran and Sonam) are really going to make it big in Bollywood. The thing in Indian movie scene is that any new comes will have to make it big in the begining otherwise there is not much chance as there is so much competetion. But looks like this pair will definitely going to stay for a while.
A romantic comedy is one of my favorite movie genres because this kind of film helpes me to relax. I often watch romantic comedies at weekends.

Queenstown!!!it is really nice
It would be wonderful to watch this movie in the cinema! It is for the large screen, I think.
Well what to say.. The place is so fantastic that any one would love to be there. No doubt the Bollywood found a good destination for shooting their romantic scenes.
Queenstown is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The landscape is spectacular and very diverse… The people are extremely warm and friendly and I love the food! I just hope this quality of the place must have been known by the Bollywood and that’s the reason they drove to this place.
I like indian movies and indian culture. Very nice songs and dances.
Hey I have heard that the plot of the movie revolves around a couple coming to film a movie in Queenstown, so the movie has provided the opportunity to include several diverse scenic locations in the filming.
Well because of the movie everyone in India is talking about the film and I guess Tourism Board of New Zealand must be very excited about the opportunities it will bring for marketing New Zealand as a destination in India.
