Kiwi Paige Hareb Surfs Up World Surf Ranking

Kiwi surfer Paige Hareb has held World Womans number 3 with her finish at the Rip Curl Pro.

Hareb finished fifth at the Rip Curl Pro at Bell Beach in Victoria to back up her third placed finish on the tour’s opening event in Queensland.

Hareb follows behind number 1, Stephanie Gilmore of Australia and number Silvana Lima of Brazil.

Paige grew up in Taranaki and lives in the small beach town of Oakura south of New Plymouth. Paige started surfing when she was around 6 years old and is trained by her father Mike.

Paige is only 18 years old and has a great future in the sport of competitive surfing.
