Very interesting list I see the United States land of the free not even in the top ten, but at least they cracked the top 20, barely. I like this list though it will help me plan where I am going to live when I retire and leave the U.S.

This is a kind of pleasant news, but I’m thinking over now what can be the reason for this country to be the least corrupted in the world… Maybe they have the most strict constitution?

Although the report of Transparency International is doubted by some country but i have no doubt about this particular report.i think new zeland is the least corrupted country around the world is because they have some good law, people over there seldom broke any law & they abide the law obediently.that’s it’s one of the favorite place among tourist around the world.
New Zealand has many things going for it but this was not one of the things I would have immediately thought of. Although it is a nice thing to have it is probably because the nation is much smaller than many and the temptations much less. Whatever the reason congratulations!

Small very transparent government with strong institutions.
@ Ngalor Ngidul – If Indonesia is the most corrupt country, leaders from the Philippines might have paid you lol! Though its my own country, I have no doubts that the Philippines is ultra corrupt!
As long as there is poverty, there will be corruption.. New Zealand is a rich country so the percentage of corruption is minimal compared to other countries in the world.
Yes and no. Strong institutions and transparency of government are very important. But you are right. A strong large middle class provides stability in the society. The vast majority of people need to have a vested interest in stability. NZ has a big middle class and a very small group of very wealthy and very poor.
nice information I like it thank you.
