Rachel Hunter’s Mog Maison

Kiwi Super Model Rachel Hunter’s moggie now have their own dog house based on a southern Californian mansion.
The idea was that of builder Alan Mowrer and interior designer Michelle Pollak. Starting with child playhouses, they were so asked to build playhouses for people’s pets. They have since built country cottages, lavish colonial mansions and an Alpine chalet for a St Bernard.
Mrs Pollak said: “I mentioned half jokingly to our builder that we should build a luxury doghouse, and it went from there. I think people got to these lengths for their pets because they are considered part of the family now.
The sub prime mess obviously has not extended to the premium dog house market.

There are very ince indeed.. But home made doghouses are the best! They are the perfect project to learn how to work wood!
That would be pretty amazing to buy for your dog. Do you think they would really appreciate it though?
It really looks like that she really loves her dogs so much. But, don’t you think that would be quite too much? They all need to feel they are loved and importance. And they could be done in other ways. But I’m not saying she’s wrong.

Nice story, but I don’t think that your dog becomes more happy due to that you build them a dog house, let the dogs stay in your house instead. I’m sure the dog will be more happy with this.
It’s all well and good to have dogs in the house most of the time and for sure that is where they are happiest, but there are circumstances where a dog is better outside. For instance if they are making too much mess and there are young children around. Fortunately dog houses are a good and safe alternative to having dogs live in a house all the time.

Wow. That dog house is bigger than mine LOL. Seriously, I think it looks cool and if you have the money to spend why not spoil your dog.

Wow, that really is spoiling the dogs! Ours usually have the run of the house to be honest – they’re part of the family.
What a beautiful dog Rachel has…it looks very well groomed. As for the house, the colonial Spanish style is one Ive always liked – there aren’t many of them in NZ either which makes them a bit of a novelty.
Wow, that’s really spoiling your dog. I guess the rich (and their dogs) really do live in a different world. Here we all are scrabbling around for a bargain and they’re doing that. Mind you, some cats get very spoilt here in the UK and building a house for a dog is nothing like giving millions or billions to your pet when you die.
